Letter Sounds

This course is designed to empower illiterate women to effectively teach letter sounds to their children, laying a strong foundation for literacy development. Through a combination of interactive sessions, practical activities, and supportive materials, participants will gain the confidence and skills needed to facilitate their children’s phonemic awareness and early literacy skills at home.

Course Objectives:

1. Understand the importance of phonemic awareness in early literacy development.
2. Learn strategies for teaching letter sounds using multisensory approaches.
3. Develop confidence in modeling and practicing letter sounds with children.
4. Explore creative activities and games to reinforce letter sound recognition.
