As the sun rises on the horizon of the ocean, I stand at the edge of the water ebbing towards me. The quiet of the morning brings a sense of calmness and peace, a moment just before the world wakes up and the noise of the daily toil permeates the air.
Today’s experience is full of duality and many realities. What are we to believe as truth for ourselves as an individual moving through our life’s journey in this crazy, wonderful world? How can we stay sane in an insane world that is full of drama, chaos and at the same time beauty, and joy?
I believe it all starts from the inside, from our heart and how we project our beliefs and perceptions out into our life experiences. What makes us happy, makes us smile wanting to get up in the morning to face the world and a new day? This is the key to really enjoying every moment in life and seeing that we can be in a state of peace.
You may ask how I can be peaceful when there is so much negative around me. My answer is to seek that which you want to see by looking from the inside out. Nothing happens in our life until we have a thought which then has an emotion attached to it. Based on the emotion we take action. By focusing regularly on the emotion of love, peace, joy, happiness, calm, peace, and serenity we automatically create that in our experience. No matter what is going on around you, your own experience will be as you intend.
In my quest to live my best life, I have gathered tools and techniques for my consciousness to be in a place where there are no mind loops, attachment to the past, worries of the future or judgment of myself and others. They include meditation, mind/body/spirit balance, stress management, exercise, eating healthy foods, drinking lots of water and be the change I wish to see.
What I have found through developing a daily routine and intention setting is that the universe has a way of collaborating with me. If I take time to pause, listen and watch, I catch a glimpse of the slightest hint that I am on the right path. There are other times the guidance is very intense and purposeful to keep me on track.
When there are difficult people or circumstances, I take time to understand why I am presented with this experience. Of course, these are not ones that I prefer to attract to myself, nonetheless, they represent the polarity that must exist. Staying heart centered is an art of living and through practice I am able to move quickly beyond difficulties knowing, “this too shall pass.”
My favorite tool is validation. The key is to listen for the other person, no to them. Pay attention to what they are saying that is indicating what they need to be validated. Always, it is an emotion attached to an experience in which they feel wronged in some way. As soon as they soften and have indicated that you heard them, you have successfully validated them. Now, you can have a civil conversation without conflict, having diffused anger and frustration in moments!
It takes practice, yet over time with consistency, you can live your best life and become unstoppable in reaching your goals through your passions, visions and dreams.
